Trevor Van Dam – Principal Reviewer and Executive Director – Brisbane and Canberra

Trevor joined CPM Reviews in 2008 as a Principal Reviewer and commenced as Executive Director of CPM Reviews in June 2016. Trevor is a highly experienced and able Reviewer who can undertake complex workplace and code of conduct investigations and workplace and environment reviews and culture scans. As a principal Reviewer with CPM Reviews, Trevor has completed many complex investigations and reviews for a significant number of government and non‐government agencies. Sue Balnaves, Business Adviser and Senior Reviewer – Canberra

Sue has 28 years of experience in the APS and ACT Government Service, in the areas of HR, service delivery and program management. She spent many years as a senior HR Director in Defence and the Programs area of the Public Service Commission dealing with the more complex and challenging people matters. Michael Manthorpe, Associate Reviewer – Canberra

In late 2021 Michael Manthorpe retired from a full-time public service career which spanned 37 years. Over that time Michael accrued extensive corporate, policy and strategy experience. He is highly adept at organisational process and practice review and diagnostic and reform projects. He has a particular interest in helping to provide assurance about the design and delivery of complex policies and programs so as to bring together the goals of Government, expressed through administrative systems and the needs of the citizenry. Michael was the Commonwealth Ombudsman from 2017-21. As Ombudsman, he oversaw the administrative actions of, and investigated and reported on complaints about, almost the entirety of the Australian Public Service (APS), law enforcement agencies, Australia Post, private health insurers and various other entities. Boris has a legal and accountancy background and over 40 years’ experience in the APS, including 12 years in the APS Commission as Group Manager and, occasionally, Acting Merit Protection Commissioner. Before then, Boris worked in several other APS agencies, including the Department of Social Security, Australian National Audit Office and Attorney-General’s Department.
